Whether you’re a returning student or new to College life, our Student Experience team and the Students’ Union (SU) have been working hard to plan an exciting lineup of events, clubs, and activities that will add a lot of fun to your College experience.
These events are great opportunities to meet new people, learn new skills, and make the most of your time at College.
Let’s dive into what they’ve got coming up this term:
Pool Club
Fridays | 3.00 – 4.30pm
Are you a pool enthusiast or just looking for a fun way to end your week? Join the Pool Club every Friday for an afternoon of casual games and mini tournaments. Every week, there is a friendly competition, and yes, there are prizes for the winners!
Whether you’re a seasoned player or just want to try something new, everyone is welcome to take a shot. It’s a great way to unwind and make new friends.

Chess Club
Details TBC
For all the strategic thinkers out there, our Chess Club is the place to be. The final details are being confirmed, but whether you’re a grandmaster or a beginner, Chess Club will offer a relaxed environment where you can enjoy one of the oldest and most tactical games in the world.

Five-a-Side Football at Margate FC
Friday Afternoons
Football fans, lace up your boots! Every Friday afternoon, we’re heading to Margate FC for some five-a-side football action. It’s the perfect way to stay active, sharpen your skills, and enjoy the game with fellow students. Grab a group of friends or come along solo — we’ll make sure you are part of the team.
Speak to Lekan for more information.

LGBTQ+ Society
Day and Time TBC by members
The LGBTQ+ Society is a safe and supportive space for students of all identities to connect, share experiences, and celebrate diversity. Whether you want to join the group for social events, discussions, or advocacy work, this society is a great place to meet like-minded people and get involved in the community.
Register your interest with Sean. Meeting dates and times to be decided depending on members availability.

Autism Society
Wednesdays | 1.00 – 2.00pm
Run by this year’s SU President, the Autism Society is dedicated to providing support, raising awareness, and building a community where everyone can feel included and understood. If you identify as being on the autism spectrum, or simply want to learn more and support others, this is the place to be. Come along to enjoy films, socialise with like-minded people or simply just to chill out in a safe space.
Meetings take place in E101.

Arcade Competitions
Calling all gamers! Get ready for some serious fun as we host Arcade Competitions in the Student Centre. Whether you’re into retro games or the latest hits, there will be plenty of chances to show off your skills and compete for bragging rights (and maybe some cool prizes!).
Dates and games will be announced soon, keep your eyes peeled or speak to Sean for more information.
