On Thursday 15 August, students at EKC Broadstairs College collected their Level 3 and T Level results. We caught up with some of our students to congratulate them on their success and find out where they are heading next.

Molly Bell, T Level Management and Administration

“My T Level work placement at OFP Timber Frame has really developed me so much as a person. I’m now going to become an apprentice there to study the CIPD Level 3 Diploma, where I can follow my goal of becoming a Human Resources Manager and working towards higher education.

“This is where I’d love to be in the future, but first I need to get to advisor level first. OFP have been really happy with my progress and are going to hire me once I’ve finished my apprenticeship.

“It was daunting at first being in a male-dominated industry, but I’ve proven to myself that if you just stick with things and carry on then you will go far. Studying has made me more disciplined and made me realise that if you want good opportunities then it’s up to you to have the right attitude.”

Noah Dickson, Level 3 Art and Design

“I’d love to work for a big VFX company in either the UK or America, and being able to study at University will really help with that. I’d picked Visual Arts as it takes what I’ve enjoyed at College such as having that creative freedom, and combines it with new exciting areas.

“I’d picked UCA as its’ got great links with industry, the teachers were really nice and it was very community-based. In a lot of ways it seems quite similar to College.

“I was very reserved and very shy when I started, but the small environment helped me to flourish and now I’m following my dreams.”

Alex Powe, T Level Management and Administration

“Doing something in the world of Politics is now my aim, so I’ve been looking into courses such as Political Philosophy for after my gap year. I’m currently thinking of the University of Sheffield or Lancaster, somewhere up north, but we’ll see after my travels.

I want to work for a third-sector organisation that is heavily involved in politics and making change. Confidence, being open and having the right qualifications will help me get there and I’ve achieved all of those on the T Level.”

Harvey Lamb, T Level Management and Administration

“I’d like to be able to go into Affiliate Marketing, as this was one of my strongest areas in the course. However I’m not 100% sure yet, so I’m taking a bit of time out to think about it..

“I may also like to set up my own business so maybe something combining the two so would be nice. Luckily thanks to the course I’ve got a better understanding of business as a whole, so this could be an option.”

Jessica Luck, T Level Management and Administration (First Year)

“Getting an A* in my core units feels incredible. I’m now feeling really confident ahead of my second year of the T Level. I’ve taken part in work experience this year such as working in Bright Sweets Nursery in Deal as one of the office team.

“Being able to take part in more work next year will hopefully help me figure out what I’d really like to do after College, as there’s so many areas in business.”

Hope Johnson, Chianne Flanagan and Ava Howell, T Level Education and Childcare.

Hope recieved a Distinction:

“I’m so happy and relieved by my results today. I was so nervous but this has made the past two years worth it.

“I’m deferring University for a year, but I’m looking into becoming a Mental Health nurse, through studying at Canterbury Christ Church University.

Chianne recieved a Merit:
“Working in the College Nursery as a T Level placement has been invaluable in terms of the practical experience. How we work with lots of different children, including those with learning difficulties, led to me applying for Canterbury Christ Church University to study a Primary Teaching course.

“If someone is looking at a T Level I’d say check the course and make sure you know it’s for you. You spend a lot of time on placement and it makes up a big part of the course which I enjoyed.”

Ava recieved a Merit:
“I’m studying Primary Education at the University of Brighton. My course will be more focused on 8-11 year olds. I’m hoping uni will lead to me becoming a Primary School Teacher, and one day I’d love to become a subject specialist in Maths.

We would like to congratulate all our students on their fantastic achievements and wish them every success for the future.
