T Levels are designed for students aged 16–19, a T Level combines 80% classroom-based learning with 20% work placement experience.

Build a strong understanding of the media industry through a mix of practical projects and focused theory, while developing your skills in videography and photography. You’ll explore how great content is created, from first idea through to final production, and learn what it takes to stand out in a competitive industry.
In your first year, you’ll explore the foundations of the creative industries, including:
• How the creative sector works and the opportunities within it
• Understanding audiences and how content connects with them
• Cultural context, ethics and professional practice
• Research, planning and project development skills
In your second year, you’ll focus on applying your skills in a more practical, industry-focused way, including:
• Developing and refining advanced videography and photography skills
• Planning and producing a major content creation project
• Working independently to industry expectations and deadlines
• Building a professional standard portfolio of work
During your T Level, you’ll have the unique opportunity to spend 20% of your time working with a local employer. You’ll be immersed in the business, treated like an employee, and gain practical experience you can add to your CV helping to kickstart your career.
With access to new and emerging technologies throughout the course, you’ll be ready to take your next step into the fast-moving world of digital media.
