Peter Jeffryes
Member – Local College Board
Peter brings over two decades of senior leadership experience across education, the arts, and organisational improvement.
As Curriculum Manager, he oversaw the delivery of more than 1,600 courses countywide, leading a teach overseeing 120 tutors and managing multi-million-pound budgets to ensure high-quality, sustainable provision.
He has also served as an Investigating Officer for Kent County Council, handling complex inquiries with impartiality and professionalism, and as a Volunteer Director at Coastal Community Learning, supporting governance and community-led initiatives.
Passionate about equity, inclusion, and creative learning, Peter has a strong track record in building partnerships, driving continuous improvement, and empowering teams to deliver meaningful outcomes.
His role on the Local Board reflects his commitment to strengthening opportunities for learners in East Kent and ensuring the College continues to thrive as a hub for education, skills, and community engagement.
