Passionate about empowering communities, shaping better futures, and serving the people of Kent, I have dedicated the past decade to creating opportunities and driving social change across the VCSEF and housing sectors. My career has been rooted in a commitment to supporting grassroots organisations, strengthening local voices, and building environments where people can thrive.
As the Chief Executive of a VCSEF organisation, I work closely with community groups, partners, and stakeholders to develop initiatives that deliver meaningful impact. I am particularly motivated by the power of collaboration, bringing people together to address local challenges, widen access to services, and support those who may otherwise go unheard.
Alongside my professional work, I am deeply committed to public service. Since being elected as a councillor at Thanet District Council in 2023, I have focused on championing community priorities, advocating for fairness, and supporting efforts that make a tangible difference to residents’ lives. In 2024, I had the privilege of serving as Mayor of Margate, an honour that allowed me to further celebrate local culture, amplify community spirit, and represent a town I care about deeply.
I also serve as a Director at East Kent Mencap, where I contribute to the organisation’s mission of supporting people with learning disabilities to live their lives as independently and fully as possible.
Additionally, as Chair of Governors at Northdown Primary School, I am committed to ensuring that children in our community receive high-quality education, strong pastoral support, and the opportunities they need to flourish.
