This creative course covers the application of specialised make-up and
artificial hair for theatrical and media purposes. Students will learn advanced
make-up techniques for film and television work, stage, catwalk and other media
such as photographic shoots.

Course information
You will learn basic airbrush skills, media make-up, fashion make-up,
photographic make-up, face and body art, how to apply basic prosthetics,
creative hair styling, facial hair and wig application, client care and health
and safety. Practical skills are developed on fellow students prior to work on
clients. The course has a strong vocational emphasis, allowing you to develop
practical skills recognised by employers. You’ll be encouraged to develop your
own abilities, and also to communicate and interact with external clients.
This qualification will require you to develop an effective working
methodology, which will enable you to react positively and creatively across a
diverse range of assignments and creative activities.
