Higher Technical Qualification (HTQ) in Computing

You will also take part in academic research project during this course, using project management techniques and methods.

The HTQ gives you an insight into the knowledge needed to progress into employment in the IT and Computing industry, whilst retaining a strong focus on how fundamental computing techniques and technologies underpin all industries.

You could apply to progress to the second year of a degree course at a UK university or in a Level 5/HND course, within areas such as general computing, computer science, network and PC hardware engineering, web development, or software development.

HTQ graduates could even move into careers at a junior level, such as a technician or developer, and begin working towards chartered status (CITP).

The fees for this course are £6,000 per annum full-time for UK students.

If you would like work experience opportunities alongside your HTQ, this will be supported by our Industry Liaison Officer, who will help to find you a suitable placement fitting around the course.

Throughout your studies, there is also the chance to take part in a variety of internal and external events, for staff, students and our local community.
